Released in September 2011 by independent label La Petite Chambre the album Haveno, the new record by the instrumental band Constantina. The group from Minas Gerais, created in 2003, had not released a new album since 2008. During this period, it underwent a reconfiguration: no longer a quartet of the acclaimed Hola Amigos, becoming a septet. The change allowed the inclusion of a wider range of rhythms and sound possibilities, which is reflected in the musical complexity presented in Haveno. The name taken from the universal lingua franca, Esperanto, Haveno means harbor and brings up the nautical universe. It is apparent in record concept the Brazilian regional rhythms and sonority, creating dialogues between images, sounds, noises and textures which ends up turning the desert into a sea, as hopes the septet. The album, consisting of seven tracks, features, besides the grafic composition in dialogue with the music, small textures which smooth the track changes.
